This was our first time staying at a Mantra hotel. We were given a room on the 18th floor with views of the Pacific Ocean. At under $200 a night for the three of us including full buffet breakfast, this well located hotel was a good find.

Radisson Tree Tops Resort & Spa – now Ramada Resort Port Douglas
We stayed at this same resort with the kids when they were little back in 2001 and decided that when they were a bit older hubby and I would return for a few days on our own to explore the area a bit more thoroughly.
