We were in Sydney for a concert so just needed one night’s accommodation not too far from the venue to keep us happy. Rydges Parramatta was probably more than we needed but this was the hotel we booked for our family of four.

Breakfast
Breakfast is served in the Stock cafe located adjacent to the lobby on the ground floor. Breakfast was included in our rate but if purchased separately costs AUD $29.50 for adults and $12 for children for the full buffet. There is the usual selection of cereals, breads and pastries, yoghurts and fruits and hot food. An omelette station was set up in the middle although I didn’t see anyone there. What stood out was the self serve pancake press and the gluten free station. The range of fresh fruit wasn’t very big and we would have liked to have seen a choice of Asian dishes. I did however enjoy my plate of hot food consisting of scrambled eggs, chicken and beef sausages, bacon, grilled tomato, hash browns, spinach and baked beans.

I would happily stay at Rydges Parramatta again. The rooms were fresh, clean and modern and you can pick up some even better rates if you book early and there isn’t something big on in the area.
